EC 3000
Conductivity Meter
EC Meter is a device designed to measure the electrical conductivity of solutions, steam or condensate The conductometer is used to analyze the concentration of nutrient solutions When a particular salt, acid or alkali is dissolved in water, the molecules of this substance are split into electrically charged particles - ions The amount of current passing through the solution is directly related to the number of ions Therefore, the electrical conductivity of the nutrient solution can be used to judge its concentration
The EC 3000 makes these measurements easy and highly reliable. The high-quality sensor is made of platinum-coated ring electrodes, which provide a very fast response and require no special care. Alternatively, a durable plastic electrode with a carbon sensor can be used. The measuring range up to 200 mS allows measurements even in fertilizer stock solutions
The built-in temperature sensor provides automatic temperature compensation The instrument is factory calibrated and does not normally require recalibration For control, standard solutions with a concentration of 111.8 and 14 mS are offered
Conductivity meter EC 3000 is used:
- In floriculture to control nutrient solutions, stock solutions, determination of substrate extracts
- For "soilless" crops (mineral wool), hydrocultures
- In the production of substrates to determine the level of salt content in mg salt/l of substrate
- In laboratories as a universal conductivity meter
