Project Summary:
This is project to study details on Oil palm plant more into plant physiology aspect and CO2 behavior. MPOB has built 4 Lysimeters size 9m high and 9m diameters. Two of the Lysimeters has CO2 enrichment facilities and another two without CO2 enrichment. Beside CO2, each Lysimeter has monitoring parameters for Humidity, Temperature, CO2 level, PAR and Wind Velocity.
1 set of same sensors has been installed outside Lysimeter to monitor ambient parameters. Beside Sensor each Lysimeter was installed 3 set ventilation/circulation blowers to provide air circulation inside the Lysimeters. The entire sensors, Blowers and CO2 Enrichment link to Schneider Medium range PLC system. The system able to control blower speed, monitor the sensor reading and record necessary parameters.
In this project, Citech SCADA system was introduced with SMS based Alarm system. With this advance monitoring system, customer able monitors the entire project for 24 hours. Any critical alarm will be notified immediately to hand-user via SMS.
