FABRICATION, INSTALLATION, TEST AND COMMISSIONING OF A CO2 GREENHOUSE SYSTEM

Elite Scientific Instruments Sdn Bhd has been honoured to be the main contractor for huge project for fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning of a CO2 greenhouse system located at TNB Research Sdn Bhd, Kajang Selangor. This greenhouse was designed with automated control and smart monitoring system by which include misting system, cooling system, circulation and ventilation, irrigation system and CO2 distribution system. By using this technology, the artificial CO2 was intentionally injected to the system. The monitoring control system and data logger allow the user to collect data and information about CO2 level, humidity, temperature of surrounding and light intensity.
As we know that atmospheric CO2 concentration [CO2] is an essential environmental variable for plant growth, because it is the substrate for photosynthesis. A CO2 greenhouse system is an infrastructure with complete controlled environment systems needed for plant growth. The smart control panel system is used to monitor the parameters studies based on the values have been set. The artificial CO2 will be injected to the system when the CO2 level rise or decline above or below the setting values.
CO2 greenhouse structure [Total size: 36 feet (L) x 16 feet (W) x 10 feet (H)] has been designed with 3 growth rooms [Size: 12 feet (L) x 16 feet (W) x 10 feet (H)] and 1 buffer room [Size: 12 feet (L) x 10 feet (W) x 10 feet (H)]. The roof also designed with dual layer by which the top roof is A-shape with single side fixed roof vents which covered with polycarbonate sheet and the lower roof is arch shape cover with plastic film, 200 micron.
