First Tovi Publication
Tovi, the eddy covariance post-processing software, recently made its debut in a publication. The “Total OH Reactivity Changes Over the Amazon Rainforest During an El Niño Event” study compared OH reactivity around an Amazonian site under the conditions of two El Niño events, one in 2012 and one in 2015. Tovi was used for the calculation and aggregation of half-hourly footprints over the measurement period.
Accounting for spectroscopic effects in laser‐based open‐path eddy covariance flux measurements
A new Global Change Biology paper explains the nature of spectroscopic effects and proposes a concept to account for such effects in eddy covariance flux measurements of any gas including GHGs. Specifically, the paper focuses on narrow-band measurements of open-path, enclosed systems and temperature- or pressure-uncontrolled, closed-path systems.
