Revitalizing Hotspots of Carbon Storage
Researchers from Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory are using the eddy covariance method with LI-COR eddy covariance tools to evaluate the efficiency of restored salt marshes as carbon sinks. They've found that these wetlands are not only effective at storing and slowly releasing carbon dioxide but that bacteria from wetland soil limit the amount of carbon that is released as methane.
