Controlled Environment Chamber

An controlled Environmental Chamber is an enclosure used to test the effects of a variety of conditions on a plant, product, component, part, or assembly. These highly technical pieces of equipment are capable of simulating the types of conditions a product may face while in use

Component in Walk In Controlled Environment Chamber (WICEC) :

1) MONITOR

The conditions in the chamber are controlled by a series of monitors that can rapidly change the conditions or slow them down to last for long periods of time especially for temperature and relative humidity.

2) VELOX Series room panel

  • 100mm thick polyurethane insulated sandwich panel - fully camlock
  • CFC & HCFC Free Polyurethane core
  • 0.5mm thick pre-painted (white) galvanized steel for internal & external skin
  • Standard insulated swing door complete with frame heater
  • Complete with lighting
  • 4 tier durable shelving with antimicrobial coating

3) Air Cooled Condensing Unit

  • Tecumseh Packaged Condensing Unit
  • Bitzer Intelligent Condensing Unit (Very Precise)

4) 4 -Tier durable wire shelving

  • With antimicrobial coating
  • Shelves and posts are constructed of heavy gauge carbon steel

5) Drip Irrigation System

  • Complete irrigation system for each tier based on timer/soil moisture sensor (optional)
  • Automatic fertilizer Injector A B for the irrigation system (optional)
  • Complete with pump and all related accessories

6) Humidifier

  • HumiDisk is a small yet sturdy humidifier that uses a spinning disk to atomise water and transform it into millions of very small droplets that, blown by a built-in fan, are introduced into the environment, where they evaporate, humidifying and cooling the air
  • Modularity: 1 or 2 humiDisk65 units can be controlled in parallel using the special control panel, or up to 10 humiDisk10 units using the CAREL humidistat

7 ) Dehumidifier

  • Dehumidifiers are used in controlled environmental chambers, to reduce relative humidity and the dew point for indoor grow rooms where the control of moisture is essential.
  • Modularity: 1 or 2 dehumidifier units can be controlled in parallel using the special control panel.

8 ) LED Growth Light

Light level (Adjustable height)

  • The amount of light shed on a plant (in µmol/s2). Some crops like cucumbers love high light levels, while others prefer lower light levels. Our light recipe sets the optimum light levels for specific crops.

Spectrum (Various growth light provided upon request)

  • The spectrum is the range from ultraviolet to infra-red that influences plant growth. Plants are particularly sensitive to a mix of red and blue light and each light recipe specifies the color of the LED lighting.

Uniformity (Precise light measurement using light meter)

  • Uniformity is how evenly the light is spread across all the crops, not just the ones in the middle. Uniform light ensures uniform plant growth and makes automatic harvesting possible.

Timing (Precise timing to on/off the light)

  • A head of lettuce needs about 14 hours of light per day, while basil prefers 20 hours of light a day. And that may change across the season. A light recipe specifies when to turn the lighting on and off to get the best results based on your geographical location.

9) Relative Humidity & Temperature Wifi Data Logger
