A new Global Change Biology paper explains the nature of spectroscopic effects and proposes a concept to account for such effects in eddy covariance flux measurements of any gas including GHGs. Specifically, the paper focuses on narrow-band measurements of open-path, enclosed systems and temperature- or pressure-uncontrolled, closed-path systems.

Supplemental materials are critical to fully understanding how these devices work and how fluxes from these should be calculated and why. These supplemental materials are located here.

EGU Posters

At the annual European Geosciences Union General Assembly in April 2019, Science Fellow Dr. George Burba and Sr. Scientist Gerardo Fratini presented posters with data for LI-COR Trace Gas Analyzers and eddy covariance instruments.
